Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 3, 2026
Curb Report ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Curb Report website, browser extension, and platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in via a third-party provider (such as Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, search queries, markets viewed, and the dates and times of your visits.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand usage patterns. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide our services: deliver real estate market data, analytics, and personalized insights based on your preferences.
- Improve our product: analyze usage patterns to enhance features, performance, and user experience.
- Analytics: generate aggregated, anonymized statistics to understand how our platform is used.
- Communications: send account-related notifications, product updates, and marketing communications (with your consent).
- Security: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and other harmful activity.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may receive or process your information:
- Stripe— processes subscription payments. Stripe collects payment card details directly; we do not store your full card number. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics— helps us understand site traffic and usage patterns. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Mapbox— provides interactive map rendering. See Mapbox's Privacy Policy.
4. Browser Extension
Curb Report offers an optional browser extension that overlays our market scores on property listings you view on Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com, and Homes.com. This section describes how the extension handles data and applies in addition to the rest of this policy.
Information the Extension Collects
- Listing content: when you open a supported property page, the extension reads the property's ZIP code from that page to look up the area's market scores. If you use the optional "Curb Check" feature, it also reads publicly displayed listing details on that page (such as the list price, days on market, and any price changes) along with the page URL, and sends them to our API to generate the analysis.
- Account connection (optional): if you connect your Curb Report account, an access token and your account display label are stored locally on your device using the browser's extension storage, and the token is sent to our API to authenticate Pro features such as Curb Check. You can remove this data at any time by clicking "Disconnect" in the extension.
What the Extension Does Not Do
The extension runs only on the supported real-estate sites and on curb-report.com. It does not track your browsing history, read pages on other websites, collect your device location, or use cookies for its market lookups. Information the extension sends is transmitted only to Curb Report's own servers—it is not sold or shared with third parties, and it is not sent to the analytics, mapping, or payment providers listed in Section 3.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account information and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@curb-report.com.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised policy on our website and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
